February Schedule

Here are a few dates for Scrap Nights in February:
Check out your calendar and mark down one of these dates early...

**The First Weekend of the Month**
February 1st (Friday) 5p-10p
February 2nd (Saturday) 10a-5p

**The First Tuesday of the Month**
February 5th (Tuesday) 5p-10p

**The Third Saturday of the Month**
February 15th (Friday) 5p-10p
February 16th (Saturday) 10a-5p

**The Last Thursday of the Month**
February 28th (Thursday) 5p-10p

*Open Scrap Night* Means: You come in with your friends and scrapbook whatever you would like! Bring all your own stuff and set up at one of the tables i have here at the store. For your use, i have at the shoppe: idea books and magazines, computer access, wireless internet if you bring your laptop, printing (this one does cost a little!), and access to the entire shoppe while you scrap! (Plus...we can always open the coffee shoppe up for you if you need a little caffeine to get through the night!)

**There is no cost for a Scrap Night.
**Plus...when you sign up and come to a Scrap Night...you receive 10% off your entire purchase!

**Sneak Peek**

Just a little sneak peek on what is coming up for February...the all new February Kit "Birthday Bash"!! i thought we better have something new and exciting for these winter months...so what better than a kit! The kit has coordinating pattern paper and cardstock and all the "other" little fun stuff that makes a page unique. So all you have to do is find your own photos and start creating away...without having to go through all the different colours of cardstock and little brads to see what will match and just "go" with your page! There is plenty of "stuff" in this kit to create a few 12x12 pages or a few 81/2x11 pages or several 6x6 pages...whatever size of album you are working with! And you could create "lots" of cards of different sizes with all this paper!!

a *closer* look at the cute little items that go in this kit...i can't wait to try it out and create some fun pages!

Here is the other page i created last night...yes, i only managed to complete 2 page layouts!! In my defense i can say that we were only scrapbooking for 4 hours!!

BOLD colourful page

Here is a page i created last night while we were scrapbooking up here at the store...

A concert my sister and i went to 2 years ago at the State Fair...so much fun...i tried to make the page bold and colourful like their performance!

Wi-Fi

hey...look at this!! we now have wireless internet at the store!! so when you come in to Scrap...bring your laptop along and you can have access to internet! yippee!! my hubby figured everything out for the wireless (i would have absolutely no clue how to make it work!!) so you'll have to thank him when you come in with your laptop!

a new page

Thought i would share this with you all...just a random page i created a little before Christmas (i think!!). Cosmo Cricket pattern paper (Valentine's paper...i'm contemplating getting for the store!!) Bazzill Basics cardstock, American Crafts alphabet stickers, Making Memories flowers, and Bazzill Basics embroidery floss from the "In Stitchz" line (the two brown lines and the little chickadees are sewn in!).

Kids Classes

every 3rd Thursday of the month

every last Monday of the month

January Classes:

** Thursday the 17th 4-5:30p

**Monday the 28th 4-5:30p

Cost is: $10.00 per child

We are going to create (4) 6x6 scrapbook pages...

*bring in 4-6 photos (wallet or 3x5 sizes would be best!)

*the kids will be able to pick out matching paper for their photos

*we'll have a basket of embellishments for them to dig through and choose from

*learn the best ways to matte photos, use their own handwriting, journal, and most of all "have fun"!!

**Focusing on how to put together a page that best displays the photos and still have a "cute" flair!

**Being able to use embellishments that compliment the page and photos without having "too-much" on the page

**a Great way to start a scrapbook of their own!!
